Course Description

The course offers an introduction to life drawing, enabling the student to develop and improve their drawing skills through observation of the human figure.  Students develop a portfolio of work of life drawings using a range of different media.  Students are encouraged to investigate historical and contemporary references to their work and keep a visual diary, evidencing methods and materials used, including knowledge gained through study of both primary and secondary source material.  Taught in the dedicated life studios of the School of Art, Aberystwyth. The School of Art is not on the main university campus but situated 10 minutes walk from the railway station.
