The module aims to develop competency in the handling of this new material for Wood Engraving and non-toxic technique of printing, whilst providing an historical and contemporary context for practice. 

Course Description

The module aims to develop competency in the handling of this new material for Wood Engraving and non-toxic technique of printing, whilst providing an historical and contemporary context for practice. You will use lime, boxwood mis-shapes which give an interesting print and allow for interesting compositions. You will be taught to handle, sharpen tools and use the press for print editioning. This is a four day intensive course run at the School of Art. We highly recommend that you have printmaking experience before you enrol.
