An inspiring course which will cover a variety of drawing and watercolour techniques and materials for depicting a wide variety of shell types, their forms, textures, patterns and colours including iridescence. This is an ideal course for anyone undertaking field studies who wish to develop their observational, drawing and painting skills and knowledge of this varied subject. The techniques and styles of contemporary and historical artists will also be presented. Extra content to assist will be available on the Blackboard platform online, with printable PDF’s, presentation and demonstration videos.  There will be a wide variety of specimens available to work from in the class.
