Course Description

This 5-credit course will take place at the Cat Centre near Machynlleth, where the woodlands nearby are havens for these fascinating lower plants. It takes place over a weekend and will cover graphite and pen drawing and watercolour painting techniques to depict a variety of their fascinating forms, with accuracy of colour and detail.
   A context of relevant historical and contemporary artists work will be presented to support the study.
This is an ideal course for anyone interested in Natural History, students undertaking field studies courses, as well as art and design courses, and the biological sciences, who wish to develop their knowledge and gain the skills needed to depict their subjects.
