Course Description

We will be going through how to show off the greens in your botanical paintings using the beautiful plant specimens at the Botany Garden at Plas Penglais.

Friday 2nd September 12pm-3pm

The equipment you will need –

  • Pencils for sketching e.g., Derwent Academy Sketching Pencils – 75p each. I would recommend 2B, 4B and 6B
  • Paintbrushes one small, one medium and a rough one for mixing e.g., Windsor and Newton Cotman set of 4 - £14.62
  • Palette e.g., plastic palette - £2.49
  • Container for water e.g., jar with a lid.
  • Small hot pressed watercolour pad or a few sheets and a board to rest on e.g., Seawhite: Watercolour travel journal: 200GSM: A5 - £11.40
  • Paint palette at least warm and cool primary colours and a white, also a couple of greens one warm, one cool e.g., e.g., Windsor and Newton Cotman palette - £12
