Course Description

Our lakes, rivers, estuaries and seas are incredibly important for a whole variety of water birds that spend the winter here. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, why not dabble into the world of ducks and waders or dive into identifying grebes and gulls?

This course will look at the variety of water birds that can be found here and will look in detail at some of them to make you feel more confident about naming them. You will also find out why this country is so important for so many water bird species. Although the course is online, you will be encouraged to find your own birds and practice the skills that you learn in the lessons.
