This course is designed to provide an introduction to livestock feed analysis.

CQFW Level 7 - Masters Level

Course Description

You will explore the evaluation of feeds in a laboratory and field context and how this influences diet formulation.

Through a series of online lectures, guided reading and quizzes, students will look at:
- applicable methods for proximate analysis of feeds
- more advanced laboratory methods of feed analysis
- in vitro and in vivo methods for determining digestibility.

Those wishing to be assessed will submit a 1500 word report (pass-mark 50%).
