Course Description

This inspiring 5 credit module would help students to develop an appreciation and knowledge about Dragonflies, through a study of the anatomy, various species within the classification, for example Damselflies, Demoiselles etc, and the particular and specialised habitats in which they exist. A context of relevant historical and contemporary artists work will be given to support the study.   

Students will learn drawing and watercolour techniques, observational and identification skills, and recording findings in the field. This is an ideal course for anyone interested in Natural History, students undertaking field studies courses, as well as art and design courses, and the biological sciences, who wish to develop their knowledge and gain the skills to depict their subject
