Agorwyd drysau Coleg Llyfrgellwyr Cymru (CLlC) i fyfyrwyr yn 1964, fel yr unig goleg llyfrgellyddiaeth yng Nghymru, a buan iawn yr enillodd enw da iddo’i hun fel un o’r prif ysgolion llyfrgellyddiaeth yn y byd. Yn 1989 daeth yn rhan o Brifysgol Aberystwyth. Wrth i ni edrych ymlaen at ddathlu 60 mlynedd ers sefydlu CLlC, mae’r gyfrol hon yn nodi’r achlysur drwy gyfrwng atgofi on rhai o’r staff oedd yno yn ystod ei fodolaeth o bum mlynedd ar hugain fel coleg annibynnol.
The College of Librarianship Wales (CLW) opened its doors to students in 1964, as the fi rst and only college for librarianship in Wales, and soon gained a reputation as one of the foremost library schools in the world. In 1989 it merged with the university in Aberystwyth. As the 60th anniversary of the establishment of CLW approaches, this volume seeks to mark the occasion through the reminiscences of some of the staff who were there during its 25 years as an independent college.
