This is a level 0 module designed to introduce you to drawing, observational skills and colour. During the course of the module, you will be encouraged to investigate and find the limitations of the medium to creative colour effects using a range of pastel media and techniques.

Course Description

This is a level 0 module designed to introduce you to drawing, observational skills and colour. During the course of the module, you will be encouraged to investigate and find the limitations of the medium to creative colour effects using a range of pastel media and techniques. Historical and contemporary references, particularly from Welsh artists, will form a basis for research development and encourage visual diary input whilst developing self-confidence. This course is for complete beginners; basic skills will be taught to enable students to progress to courses in drawing and colour at level 1.
