Course Description

During the course, we will be looking at domesticated animals and exploring methods of illustrating them using a variety of traditional mediums. The module will examine different animals’ appearances and behaviours, as well as how pets have influenced the art world throughout history. This course is suitable for beginner and intermediate artists looking to build on their observational drawing skills and knowledge of domestic animals. We will cover techniques using pencil, watercolour and ink, including some colour theory and form drawing techniques that will help students build a strong visual diary.
