Course Description

This course will unlock some of the mysteries of the kingdom of fungi. Focusing on the ecology of fungi, we will discover the vital role fungi play in our ecosystems, how they function and what we can learn from them. This is not a course in how to identify fungi but one which seeks to begin to understand them.

We will explore how a greater understanding of mycology can be applied practically, looking at possible applications in woodland management and agriculture. This is a theoretical course based on cutting edge research and will be taught online through Blackboard via presentations, videos, worksheets and webinars.
