Introduction to Wood Engraving can be studied as a stand-alone course and is an optional course for the Certificate of Higher Education in Art and Design at Aberystwyth University. 

Course Description

The module aims to develop competency in the handling of this new material for Wood Engraving and non-toxic technique of printing, whilst providing an historical and contemporary context for practice. You will use lime, boxwood mis-shapes which give an interesting print. You will be taught to handle, sharpen tools and use the press for editioning.
