Course Description

This Rocky Shore Ecology course focuses on the effect of tides and wave action on the rocky shore environment.  We will explore the unique biology and ecology of organisms in this extreme and unique environment. Practically, we will carry out ecological investigations of rocky shores near you, using sampling strategies and quadrat techniques and be able to interpret the results of these investigations. 

Rocky Shore Ecology and Sampling Techniques can be studied as a stand-alone course and as a key course for the Certificate of Higher Education in Field Ecology at Aberystwyth University.
