Course Description

This course is for you if you have attended Improvers 1 and 2 or have a good command of Spanish and want to re-activate and build upon your comprehension and expression.

The module will equip students with a very basic knowledge of the countries where Spanish is spoken and encourage their curiosity about the language, the country, the people, their environment, society, traditions and culture. It will enable the student to reach a level of very basic competence in the four main areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The student will acquire basic language skills, to enable students to:

• Discuss the weather
• Arrange meetings, appointments
• Discuss languages and nationalities
• Discuss economy and subjects in this area
• Discuss work and working conditions
• Discuss family
• Discuss transport and travel
• Discuss their origins and background
• Discuss leisure time
