Throughout history, women have played a vital role. However, their lives have often been overlooked by their contemporaries and historians. This ten-week course will immerse you in the study of women’s history, exploring how women in the past lived, loved, worked, struggled and thrived. To do this, we will explore a variety of topics including politics, wartime, industrial and domestic work, religion, culture, and more through various eras of history. This course presents an opportunity for you to explore the women in your own family tree and uncover their stories alongside well-known figures. Additionally, this course will provide you will the tools to begin researching and writing women’s history and add to the expanding genre.
